To safely receive a waxing service, you must discontinue use of prescription or high-dose Vitamin A skin care products such as Retin-A or Renova at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. If you are on Accutane, you cannot receive a face or body waxing service until 6 months after completing the medication cycle. Other waxing contraindications include Alpha Hydroxy Acid use, diabetes, recent or excessive sun exposure, skin-thinning medications and cancer.
